Alison Brie, Lizzy Caplan join 'Save the Date'

Alison Brie and Lizzy Caplan have joined the cast of Save the Date.

The two actresses will play sisters in the indie romantic comedy, according to Variety.

The Community star's character is described as being "at peace with life", while Caplan's character is more "ambivalent".

Geoffrey Arend has also been cast in the film.

Brie plays Annie Edison on the NBC series Community. She recently teased that the series would end on a cliffhanger, presumably referring to her kiss with Abed (Danny Pudi).

Caplan has previously starred in both TV shows and movies. She played Jason Stackhouse's (Ryan Kwanten) girlfriend Amy Burley on the first season of True Blood and has also appeared in Cloverfield and Mean Girls.

Community has been renewed for a third season.
