The Moulin Rouge actor, who has appeared naked for several titles in his filmography, assured fans that he would never make a "conscious decision" to keep himself covered up on camera.
When asked by Contactmusic if he had deliberately steered away from nude scenes, McGregor replied: "No, I certainly haven't made any conscious decision not to. But, it's only ever there if it's relevant for the film."
He further teased: "I made a film, called Perfect Sense, with David Mackenzie, who directed Young Adam, and it's possible it might be [naked] in there. I can't remember."
McGregor previously announced that he would be snubbing nude roles for the sake of his younger, female co-stars.
He explained at the time: "You never want female co-stars to feel like you're taking advantage of the situation. Anyhow, sex scenes are terribly exposing and rarely of any use in learning about character."
