'Essex County' films as 'Super Zero'

The third of the acclaimed Top Shelf Productions graphic novel titled 'Tales from the Farm' is being filmed under the name Super Zero, according to Variety.
It will mark the directorial debut of John Dykstra, who is best known as a visual effects supervisor. He most recently worked on X-Men First Class.
It tells the story of an estranged orphan who befriends the local gas station owner. Together they escape into a fictional world of superheroes and aliens.
The film with be live action mixed with extensive CG sequences.
John Carr is adapting the screenplay, with Steven Gilder and Alec Chorches attached as producers.
Essex County became the first graphic novel to be shortlisted in the prestigious Canada Reads programme earlier this year. It was championed by Sara Quin of Tegan and Sara.
The cartoonist is to pen a new Animal Man title following DC Comics' September relaunch.
