While attending the American Institute for Stuttering 5th Annual Benefit Gala, the Adjustment Bureau actor spoke with New York Magazine about his directorial debut, stating that he is already hard at work on the film.
"I've got a few things that I really want to direct, and one I'm actually going to start at the first quarter of next year," said Damon, reportedly referring to the spec script Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses, which the 40-year-old selected for his directorial debut in early May.
The father of four went on to declare that Office actor John Krasinski will star in the film, asserting that the news is not a joke.
"I'm being dead serious!" Damon said, when questioned if Krasinski's involvement was genuine.
Damon will begin filming Liberace next, in which he plays the lover of Michael Douglas's titular pianist followed by Neill Blomkamp's Elysium.
The actor said in March that he does not mind having to kiss Douglas for the Liberace role, claiming he will pretend that he is "making out" with the 66-year-old actor's wife Catherine Zeta-Jones instead.
