Chadha: Husband stressed me out over film

Gurinder Chadha says she found it very difficult to watch her husband directing her new film.
Bend It Like Beckham director Chadha wrote Mistress of Spices, based on the book by Chitra Divakaruni, which centres around the tale of a young Indian woman whose mystical spices help people to change their lives. It was husband Paul Mayeda Berges' directorial debut.
Chadha told BBC World Service: "I was on set for the first few days, and then I had to leave because I found it very hard. There were times when I would walk on set and try to whisper to Paul, and then all the crew would look away. On one occasion I suggested something and Paul said no, and the crew thought we were having a 'domestic'. After that, I really had to learn to back off and let him do it himself."
