Ben Stiller in sci-fi comedy 'Neighbourhood Watch'?

Ben Stiller is reportedly considering the lead in the sci-fi comedy Neighbourhood Watch.

The film centres on a city slicker who ends up in the suburbs and is forced to join a Neighbourhood Watch programme - which turns out to be far more eventful than expected, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Stiller joins a long list of comedy actors that have been attached to the main role, including Will Ferrell, Peter Segal and David Dobkin.

Writing partners Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have revised the script, which could be taken on by The Lonely Island's Akiva Schaffer.

Meet the Fockers star Stiller revealed recently that production on the follow-up to Zoolander will begin soon.

He also said that he was still keen to play Walter Mitty in the long-planned remake of the classic film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
