'Gotti' biopic undergoes title change

Barry Levinson's upcoming mob film Gotti: Three Generations has undergone a title change.

A representative for the film told EW that the project will now be titled Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father.

The project will star John Travolta as part of an ensemble cast that currently includes Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Lindsay Lohan, and Kelly Preston.

Levinson and Bugsy screenwriter James Toback are penning the script, which will follow the infamous Gotti crime family, focusing specifically on Gambino boss John Gotti's relationship with his two sons.

Earlier this month it was reported that Pacino will reunite with Levinson on an adaptation of Philip Roth novel The Humbling before starting work on Gotti.

Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father is expected to begin production in late Autumn for a release in 2012.
