Warren Beatty to direct first film since 1998?

The star will also appearing in front of the camera again for the untitled project brought by Paramount Studios, according to Deadline.
"Warren's script is quintessential Beatty, elegantly written and wonderfully entertaining," Paramount chief executive Brad Grey told the site.
The subject of the screenplay remains under wraps, but Beatty's previous Academy Award-nominated films for the studio have included the period drama Heaven Can Wait and the Cold War drama Red.
He hinted in May that he planned a return to acting after a ten year break where he focused on raising his young family with actress and wife Annette Bening.
The couple are parents to three daughters and a son.
It was recently reported to X-Men director Matthew Vaughn is keen to get Beatty to appear in an adaptation of Jonathan Ross's The Golden Age.
