Peter Facinelli: 'Kids unimpressed by Twilight role'

Peter Facinelli has confessed that his children do not care about his involvement in the Twilight franchise.

In an interview with PopEater, the actor - who plays vampire doctor Carlisle Cullen in the series - revealed that his three daughters with wife Jennie Garth are unfazed by their father's working relationship with Twilight star Robert Pattinson as they view him as just a friend of the family.

"My daughters don't usually get impressed by people I've worked with because they're just Dad's friends," Facinelli explained. "I think they're just enamored I'm part of the whole franchise. Rob is just one of Dad's friends."

He went on to admit that while he will miss the films' cast and crew, he is looking forward to enjoying the final two instalments of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn as a viewer.

Facinelli said: "I'm having a good time with it. We finished filming four and five. I'm excited to have the filming portion of it over and now I can sit back as one of the fans and see how it all comes together."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 will hit theatres this November, while its follow-up Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is scheduled for release in November 2012.
