The animation studio will debut the film, an original movie and not a sequel to any previous productions, through Disney on November 27, 2013.
The currently-untitled film will be the second Pixar release of 2013 after Monsters, Inc. prequel Monsters University opens in the summer.
Brave, an action-adventure story about a Scottish princess with a love for archery, is Pixar's big release of 2012. The animation features the voice talents of Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson and Billy Connolly.
Pixar movies, which include Toy Story 3, Up and WALL-E, have grossed more than $6 billion (£3.7bn) at the worldwide box office and won 11 Academy Awards.
Its latest movie Cars 2 opens in the US this Friday and July 22 in the UK.
