'Avatar' actor Joel David Moore joins 'Savages'

The actor will join the movie based on the Don Winslow novel of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The story is based around two friends (played by Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch) who own a thriving pot-growing business. Their shared girlfriend (Blake Lively) is then kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel who demands their entire earnings for her release.
John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Salma Hayek, Benicio del Toro and Emile Hirsch are among the actors who have been confirmed for other leading roles in the film.
Avatar and Bones actor Moore will play a computer expert who gets caught up in the drugs business.
Filming is expected to begin in July for a cinema release in 2012.
