Ben Barnes for lead role in 'Seventh Son'

According to Variety, Barnes has been lined up to replace Snow White and the Huntsman star Sam Claflin, who dropped out after negotiations fell through.
If Barnes is successful, he will portray protagonist Thomas J Ward, the seventh son of a seventh son who is taught the ways of wizardry by a mystical spook.
Tron Legacy star Jeff Bridges is attached to portray the spook while The Kids Are Alright lead Julianne Moore will play a witch.
I Am Number Four star Alex Pettyfer was previously believed to be in line for the lead role in The Seventh Son.
Barnes recently starred opposite Robert Sheehan in Killing Bono, but is perhaps best known for his role as King Caspian in the Chronicles of Narnia film series.
