Rapper RZA and D.J. Cotrona have begun negotiations to star in the follow up to 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
RZA will portray a martial arts master, while Cotrona has been tapped to play the G.I. Joe soldier Flint.
In early June, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was also reported to have joined the highly-anticipated sequel. The Fast & Furious Five star will play a character named Roadblock.
Channing Tatum, Ray Park and Lee Byung-hun will all reportedly reprise their roles from the original film.
Jon Chu, who directed the Justin Bieber documentary Never Say Never, will take the director's chair for the sequel.
The tentatively titled G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes is still in development, but is scheduled to be released in cinemas on August 10, 2012.
