The studio is close to a deal to secure production rights for the film along with New Regency, and to provide the $130 million (£80m) budget as requested by Aronofsky to produce the movie, according to Deadline.
Christian Bale is also in talks for the lead role as the man instructed by God to build an ark in order to save every animal on Earth.
Aronofsky has reportedly been working on the comic book version of Noah since he was 13 years old, and it will finally be released in 2013.
Noah will be the follow-up to Aronofsky's multi-award-winning Black Swan, which had a budget of just $12 million (£7.5m).
Aronofsky will also direct Nazi-drama Hobgoblins for HBO.
