Evan Rachel Wood: 'George Clooney is amazing director'

Evan Rachel Wood has praised her Ides of March director George Clooney as an "amazing" filmmaker.

Wood noted that Clooney encouraged collaboration among actors, further explaining that working on Ides of March was unlike anything she's ever experienced before.

"George is amazing," she told Access Hollywood. "He's an incredible, funny, [and] generous man. I wish that every film I've worked on was a George Clooney movie."

While the actress chose to remain coy on many of the surprises audiences can expect from The Ides of March, she did tease that it was enjoyable to co-star with two sex symbols, Clooney and Ryan Gosling.

"[Clooney] plays a politician running for office and I play one of his interns, who is having an affair with his press secretary [played by] Ryan Gosling. So, it's not a bad day at work," she teased.

The Ides of March is to open the 68th Venice Film Festival on August 31 and will debut on October 7 in the US and on October 28 in the UK.
