Drew Barrymore to direct 'Heist Society'?

© Virgin Media
According to Variety, Barrymore will produce the feature through her Flower Films company and may also choose to helm the film as well.
Warner Bros picked up the rights to adapt Ally Carter's popular novel last year, which follows a teenage girl who struggles to balance high school with her family's criminal exploits.
The Heist Society sees her forced to put a crew together to steal a mobster's art collection back to clear her father's name.
Screenwriter Shauna Cross has been brought on board to pen the script, after working with Barrymore on her 2009 directorial debut Whip It.
Barrymore is also expected to direct a film adaptation of Liz Tuccillo's debut novel How To Be Single.
