Paramount Classics is to donate 5 per cent of ticket sales from new movie An Inconvenient Truth to the alliance for climate protection.
The alliance will receive a guaranteed minimum of $500,000 and the donation will run the entire length of the film's US release.
The documentary film, released later this month, aims to weave the science of global warming with US vice president Al Gore's personal history and his efforts to educate on climate change.
