Sly's statue returns home for good
Published Friday, May 12 2006, 09:59 BST | By Peter Stiff
A statue of Sylvester Stallone that was used as a prop in the third Rocky film will be placed near the famous steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum.
The statue, donated to the city by Sly in 1982, was until now being moved around sports venues and storage facilities, as an agreement on where it should be placed could not be made.
The actor originally said the statue must be placed at the top of the steps, where Rocky Balboa worked on the films, but a compromise has now been reached.
A sixth Rocky movie is due out this year.
