MGM has picked up the rights to adapt Neil Strauss's New York Times bestselling memoir The Game.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the project has finally landed at MGM, who have tasked Brian Koppelman and David Levien to rewrite and direct the adaptation.

Strauss's memoir details his journey into the seduction community and documents his attempts at becoming the world's most successful pick-up artist.

Koppelman and Levien are no strangers to exploring men's sexual appetite on film, with their last directorial project being 2009's Michael Douglas-led Solitary Man.

The Game was originally picked up by Columbia with Chris Weitz attached to direct, but Weitz and his brother Paul will now serve as producers instead.

MGM is said to be keen to begin production on The Game quickly, and is looking to start casting the project as soon as possible.
