Uma Thurman speaks about 'Prime' role

The actress revealed that her marriage split from Ethan Hawke was one of the reasons why she decided to join the movie, which follows a divorcee who starts a relationship with an artist 15 years younger than her.
"Prime is not really my story, but a lot of what was going on with that character I could understand," Thurman told the Daily Record.
"I know what it's like to wake up after 10 years and be single again. And be alone again. Also my husband was six months younger than me. And he lied about it when I met him. He pretended to be older!"
She added, "It wasn't a typical American romantic comedy - not that I don't like those. I actually do. But it was much more sensitive and subtle."
