'John Carter': Watch the trailer for Disney's new fantasy epic

The teaser trailer for John Carter has been released by Walt Disney Pictures.
The video offers up the first look at stars Taylor Kitsch and Lynne Collins in the Martian fantasy world first dreamed up by Edgar Rice Burroughs for his pulp story A Princess of Mars.
John Carter centres on an American Civil War veteran who gets transported to Mars and becomes involved in a war between the planet's people.

Joining Friday Night Lights star Kitsch and Collins in the cast are Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, Samantha Morton, James Purefoy, Dominic West, Bryan Cranston and Mark Strong. WALL-E director Andrew Stanton makes his live-action debut with the science fiction blockbuster.
John Carter will open in UK cinemas and worldwide on March 9, 2012.
