'Gladiator' to be made into a musical

The Oscar-winning Hollywood blockbuster Gladiator is to be made into a West End musical.
The film will be adapted for stage by William Nicholson, who wrote the original screenplay, and the original Hans Zimmer score will be used.
Russell Crowe will not be taking to the stage as Maximus Deciumus Meridius; instead the part goes to Brian Stokes Mitchell.
