Earlier this month, it was reported that Ifans was up for a unknown role in Bond 23. However, Sony representatives later denied the rumours.
"I've just heard this today about, the new Bond," Ifans told Coming Soon. "I don't know anything about that."
Despite denying the claims, Ifans did admit that he would be interested in the project were he to be offered a part.
"I think Daniel Craig is the best Bond that ever was," Ifans continued. "He's unbelievable, he's fantastic, and if he wants me to kiss him again hard on the lips, I'm available.
"But I dunno. If the Bond people watch this, give me a f**king job, man!"
The two actors previously starred opposite each other in the 2004 Roger Mitchell drama Enduring Love.
Ifans made the comments while promoting his upcoming superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man, in which he portrays tragic supervillain The Lizard.
