Gabriele Muccino has had cold feet about directing Tonight, He Comes.
Just weeks after replacing Jonathan Mostow, who abandoned the project over creative differences with its lead Will Smith, Muccino has made an amicable departure from the material which he felt did not suit him.
Smith, who remains with the project, recently finished work on the Muccino-directed The Pursuit of Happyness.
Tonight, He Comes is still scheduled to begin work next year, says Variety.
