Madonna, George Clooney films screen at Venice Film Festival

Madonna's new movie W.E. and Roman Polanski's Carnage have been confirmed for the 2011 Venice Film Festival.
They join George Clooney's opening movie The Ides of March, David Cronenberg's A Dangerous Method, Steven Soderbergh's Contagion, James Franco's Sal and Andrea Arnold's Wuthering Heights.

The 68th Venice Film Festival runs from August 31 to September 10 and is directed by Marco Müller.
Last year's winner of the Golden Lion prize at Venice was Sofia Coppola's Somewhere.
