Scarlett Johansson has stolen the lead role in Barry Levinson's Brilliant.
The actress will star as a jewel thief who works with a conman in the hope of making the biggest heist in history in the midst of a volatile relationship. Gillian Gorfil and Elizabeth Shorten wrote the screenplay, says Variety.
Production begins in September in the hope of releasing the film a year later.
