According to Variety, the former EastEnders star has been cast as a member of Earth's resistance against a race of alien invaders.
It is also believed that John Carter star Willem Dafoe is in early talks to join the film as a rogue scientist who is an expert in the alien creatures.
Kazinsky landed a role in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey last year, but was forced to drop out in April due to an unknown health issue.
Pacific Rim already boasts a star-studded cast including Sons of Anarchy regular Charlie Hunnan, Luther star Idris Elba, Horrible Bosses star Charlie Day and The Unit actor Max Martini.
Production on Pacific Rim is expected to begin later this year, and is being eyed for release on July 12, 2013.
