'Da Vinci Code' takes UK by storm
The adaptation of Dan Brown's controversial novel The Da Vinci Code enjoyed a very strong opening in the UK last weekend.

Directed by Ron Howard, the thriller debuted with a massive £9.49m. In second place was Mission: Impossible III, which brought its total gross earnings over the past three weeks to £12.6m.

The week's other new release, Waiting, took fifth place.
