The 'F**k You!' singer was was cast as Wu-Tang member Raekwon's father in the upcoming project, tentatively entitled C.R.E.A.M.
Green told Parade: "Me and Raekwon have been friends for quite a while. He dropped this opportunity on me and I was just so flattered. I was speechless that he would ask me to play such a significant role in his life.
"Our careers started out around the same time, and people were always likening us to each other since we have similar features. He's kind of always been my play brother, so it kind of makes sense [for me to play this role]. I'm excited about it. I would really love to do a good job and really honour him."
Paul Oakenfold recently revealed that Green will appear on his new album, which is due for release in 2012.
Green recently joked that he was 'raised to be sexy' and revealed that his mother used to buy him bikini underwear.
