Sarah Jessica Parker knows 'Sex and the City 3' plot

Sarah Jessica Parker has said that she expects there to be a third Sex and the City film, despite the poor critical reception of Sex and the City 2.

The actress suggested there are still more stories to tell about the four female lead characters, and claimed she was already aware of the film's potential plot.

"There is," Parker told Parade, when asked about the possibility of a third cinematic outing for the franchise.

"I know what the story is," Parker revealed. "It's a small story, but I think it should be told.

"The question is, what's the right time to tell it?"

It was recently denied that The CW were planning to develop a prequel television series focusing on Carrie Bradshaw's high school days, with Parker on board as a producer.

Parker will next appear in the romantic comedy I Don't Know How She Does It, which is due out in cinemas on September 16.
