Len Wiseman, director of the movies, is in talks to direct the fourth Die Hard film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Written by Mark Bomback and Doug Richardson, the film will see cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) emerge from retirement to tackle an internet terrorist group.
Previously entitled Die Hard 4.0, the movie had to be partially rewritten in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina since a scene included a great tidal wave caused by an explosion in New Orleans.
Luc Besson, Willis' director in The Fifth Element, was previously rumoured to be helming the project.
