Ansari explained that his prior roles in television and film comedies didn't prepare him for 30 Minutes or Less's action sequences.
"I wasn't in The Transporter or anything, so I haven't had an opportunity [before] to do car chase scenes or anything like that," he told USA Today. "As a comedy actor, you don't necessarily anticipate doing scenes where you're robbing a bank or fighting people."
Ansari went on to admit that a new career as an action star isn't very likely.
"The frustrating thing for me would be, like, in [30 Minutes or Less], most of it is still comedy and dialogue," he said. "I have control over that and can contribute a lot in my performance, whereas in car chases, I don't know how much I really bring to the table besides different variations on going, 'Aaaargh! Look out for that truck!'"
30 Minutes or Less, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride, is now playing in US cinemas and is released on October 16 in the UK.
