The musical in question is currently playing at the West End in London, after premiering at the Manchester Opera House in March of this year.
Producers announced earlier today that the musical will move to Broadway next year, with previews beginning in New York City in March.
No-one has yet been cast in the Broadway version of the musical.
Ghost features music from the Grammy-winning musicians Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. The musical was adapted for the stage by Oscar winner Bruce Joel Rubin, who penned the original movie screenplay.
The film version of Ghost starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. It tells the story of a ghost (Swayze) who is attempting to contact his girlfriend (Moore) with the help of a fake medium (Goldberg).
Swayze passed away in 2009 after nearly two years battling pancreatic cancer.
