Martin Scorsese directs 'George Harrison: Living in the Material World' - video

George Harrison: Living in the Material World, which reportedly runs at around three-and-a-half hours, will chart Harrison from his early days with the Beatles to his later solo career and work in the movie industry as co-founder of HandMade Films.

The film will feature contributions from Harrison's friends and collaborators, including Sir Paul McCartney, Eric Idle, Yoko Ono, Ringo Starr and Terry Gilliam.
Oscar-winning director Scorsese has previously made music documentaries about The Band (The Last Waltz), Bob Dylan (No Direction Home) and the Rolling Stones (Shine a Light).
George Harrison: Living in the Material World will debut at this year's New York Film Festival before screening on HBO in two parts on October 5 and 6. A DVD, Blu-ray and Limited Deluxe Edition will be released on October 10.
