'The Hunger Games' footage to debut at MTV VMAs

The 2011 MTV VIdeo Music Awards will present exclusive footage from the eagerly-awaited movie when the ceremony airs this Sunday, August 28 at 9pm (ET) from Los Angeles's Nokia Theatre.
The movie, based on Suzanne Collins's best-selling novel, centres on a post-apocalyptic version of America called Panem. Every year a boy and girl are chosen from the country's 13 districts to fight in an annual televised battle to the death known as the Hunger Games.
Oscar nominee Lawrence will portray series protagonist Katniss, a girl who steps forward to fight from District 12.
Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz and Stanley Tucci also star in the movie.
The Hunger Games will open in cinemas in March 2012.
