Jason Momoa: 'I've not written Conan the Barbarian sequel'

The star of the 3D action remake told Digital Spy that it was not true that he had penned a full script for a follow-up movie.
Momoa said: "No, actually I just have an idea. I would probably leave it to the writers who are doing it but I'm really stoked I'm playing him. You already have Robert E Howard's stories, now we have our Conan so we don't have to be so stressed out.
"Nobody's going to know how to emote and play the character better than I am so it's just getting into a collaborative process. I have some ideas, it's really about the villain and what we can extract from Conan."
Asked by Metro when he first started to write screenplays, Momoa added: "When it was hard to get auditions. You do movies that aren't very good so you create your own thing. I'm just fascinated by the process of filmmaking.
"It was hard for me to get in the door as an actor and people are now saying, 'You'll be stuck with these barbaric roles', but now the door's slightly open I'm going to kick it in and take on as much as possible."
