'The Wolverine' start delayed by 'Les Misérables'?

Fox's superhero sequel has encountered difficulties securing suitable shooting locations in Japan, Deadline claims.
The James Mangold-helmed movie was expected to begin filming in October, but the report casts doubt on this timeframe. Filming may now be pushed back to spring 2012, after Jackman has finished shooting the big-screen version of Les Misérables.
It has also been suggested that the entire film could now be shot in Canada.
The Wolverine is based on a screenplay from Christopher McQuarrie, said to be inspired by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont's 1982 miniseries featuring the mutant anti-hero.
Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as the title character, while Kelly Hu will portray Lady Deathstrike. Ken Watanabe and Naturi Naughton will also star in the film.
The movie's production was disrupted by the earthquake that hit Japan back in March. Darren Aronofsky, who was originally attached as director, left the project in the same month.
The Wolverine is slated for release in 2012.
