The Twilight star's first leading role outside of Stephenie Meyer's fantasy saga will see him play a teenager looking to uncover his true identity after he discovers a baby photograph of himself on a missing persons website.

Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello and Sigourney Weaver co-star in the movie, which is directed by John Singleton.
Abduction will open in cinemas this September.
