Sir Anthony Hopkins has defended his decision to cast his wife Stella in his new film Slipstream.
The Welsh actor surprised critics when he cast his third wife, who normally works as an antiques dealer, in the film. He argues that the film would not have come to be without Stella's input.
"She doesn't let me put myself down, because I love beating myself up," he said. "Stella suggested that I write. I got a computer and I just sat down and wrote Slipstream."
