'X-Men' stands firm at UK box office

Newcomer Poseidon failed to trouble the success of X-Men: The Last Stand and The Da Vinci Code at the UK box office last weekend.

Brett Ratner's comic book sequel held on at the top, taking £2.31m in its second week, followed by fellow non-mover, Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code, which earned £1.90m over the three day period.

Poseidon debuted at third place, displacing family movie The Wild to fourth position. Paul Greengrass's 9/11 picture, United 93.
