Carey Mulligan 'moved in with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn'

Carey Mulligan has revealed that she moved in with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn when she worked on the project.

The actress told The Sunday Times that she enjoyed living with the filmmaker and his family.

Mulligan, who is reportedly engaged to musician Marcus Mumford said: "I had nowhere to live in LA, and it was actually pretty awesome.

"I'd hang out with his wife and play with their babies, and when I wasn't filming, I'd make carrot cakes and bring them on set."

Mulligan will reunite with Refn for his upcoming sex thriller I Walk With The Dead.

The star of An Eduction added that she has also learnt to separate the vulnerability of her personal life from her acting career.

"I'm more comfortable with the distinction between my life and the work side of things now," she said.

"I go to work these days with a kind of 'male' attitude. It's not a feminist thing, it just makes me feel more confident. It's my way of feeling like I've got equal weight in the room."

Mulligan is currently working on Baz Luhrmann's big-screen adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby.
