Tom Cruise sniper thriller 'One Shot' casts 'The Help's David Oyelowo

The actor will be joining Tom Cruise and James Bond star Rosamund Pike for the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Help star Oyelowo will be taking on the role of a homicide cop who is called on to investigate a series of mysterious shootings.
One Shot is an adaptation of Lee Child's ninth book in the Jack Reacher series, with Cruise playing the maverick detective. The film sees Reacher uncovering the links between the killings and realising that the wrong man is being held in custody.
Christopher McQuarrie is directing from his own adaptation of the novel.
One Shot is expected to be the first in a franchise of Jack Reacher adaptations, after its release in 2013.
