'Dark Knight Rises' star Joseph Gordon-Levitt warns against spoilers: 'Fans should trust Christopher Nolan'

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has warned fans to avoid spoilers about The Dark Knight Rises.

The Inception star will be playing special assignment cop John Blake in the forthcoming Batman sequel.

He told USA Today that fans need to know "nothing" about the plot turns before the film's release.

"I can tell you that one of the things I admire most about [director] Mr [Christopher] Nolan is that he understands that the story begins before the movie does. He's already telling the story that he's got cooked up. He's a master storyteller," Gordon-Levitt explained.

"Every little bit of information he lets out, he does it at the proper time. Far be it for me to preempt the rhythm of his. I love that people are excited about it. I guarantee, as an audience member, one will have the best experience if one just trusts him."

New Dark Knight Rises pictures and videos were leaked online at the beginning of September, after shooting relocated to Los Angeles from Pittsburgh.
