A sex scene featuring Katie Holmes which was cut from the Sundance Festival premier of Thank You For Smoking will be included in the released version.
In the movie Holmes had filmed a sex scene between her character, an investigative reporter, and that of Aaron Eckhart's tobacco lobbyist.
However, the scene had been cut from the film's premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, amid rumours that husband Tom Cruise had requested its removal. It did, however appear in the version shown at last year's Toronto Film Festival.
A spokeswoman for Fox Searchlight, which produced the movie, said: "It has never been altered. It will be released with that scene. We don't know what happened, but we're looking into it."
