To mark the release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray, London BT Tower last night transformed into the world's largest lightsaber.
Anthony Daniels, Stars Wars' C-3PO, was on hand at the star-studded launch party to hit the switch that illuminated the capital's skyline.
Charlotte Church, Gail Porter and Warwick Davis were joined by Darth Vader, Stormtroopers and Boba Fett at the celebrity Star Wars blue carpet event.
The state-of-the-art lighting projected a beam of light 200m into the air from the top of the 189 metre tower. More than 60 4,500W lights - standing 1.3m high and weighing 124kg - combined to produce a parallel blue ray of light.
