The actress told Movies.com that she will likely return as the 11-year-old crimefighter when she is older.
"Actually, yeah, but I think I'm going to be a little bit older. I'd like to do it in the next year or two because I think that's a really good time age-wise. You can show Hit-Girl in a different light which would be a lot of fun," she said.
"I think it would be fun to show her, because you know her as this 11-year-old assassin, so I think it would be fun to show her as this twisted young adult, this 16 to 17-year-old Catwoman-y almost, twisted and dark person."
Kick-Ass is based on the creator-owned comic book written by Mark Millar and illustrated by John Romita Jr. It was released in cinemas last year, directed by Matthew Vaughn.
A comic book sequel is currently ongoing, though the development of a movie follow-up remains uncertain. Earlier this year, screenwriter Jane Goldman denied reports that she is working on a script for the project.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who played Red Mist in the film, previously indicated that the main cast are interested in reprising their roles.
