'Cars' takes the lead in Australia

Cars was the leader of the pack at the Australian box office last weekend, beating The Break-Up to the finishing line.

Pixar's latest offering took AUS$4.30m in its first three days, whilst The Break-Up yielded AUS$3.03m in its debut weekend.

Last week's chart-topper, X-Men: The Last Stand, slipped to fourth place, below The Da Vinci Code in third. Horror remake The Omen debuted in fifth place with AUS$0.97m.
