Pitt beats DiCaprio to zombie film rights
Published Thursday, Jun 15 2006, 11:44 BST | By Dave West

Pitt's Plan B production house – backed by Paramount Pictures – and DiCaprio's Appian Way – part of Warner Brothers – had been stuck in a drawn out bidding-war for World War Z.
Appian eventually gave in, however, and Plan B yesterday won through, claiming rights to the book by Max Brooks.
To be published in the autumn, the apocalyptic story is set 10 years after most of humanity was turned into flesh-eating zombies by a disease epidemic.
Brooks has previously written for chat show Saturday Night Live and penned 2003 novel The Zombie Survival Guide.
