Spike Lee's 'Red Hook Summer' coming in 2012

The Malcolm X director officially announced the new film via his Twitter account, posting a picture of himself alongside artwork featuring the slogan 'Burning Up Da Summer 2012'.
Red Hook Summer will reportedly see Lee reprising his role as Mookie from Do The Right Thing, opposite the likes of Clarke Peters and Samantha Ivers.
Lee was recently confirmed to be directing a remake of 2003 Korean thriller Oldboy.
