Affleck to play Magnum PI?

Ben Affleck has been touted as being perfect for the lead role in Magnum PI.
Charles Floyd Johnson, a producer of the TV series in the eighties, has suggested Affleck would be the prime man for the part in the new movie adaptation.
Vince Vaughn and George Clooney have previously been linked with the movie, but Johnson insists it is Affleck who should star.
Johnson said of the new film: "I think it will be wonderful. Unfortunately it won't star Tom [Selleck]. He was asked to do six or eight TV movies and at that time he really wanted to do it as a feature, so he held out on it and probably now they will consider him too old to do it."
